Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, in a phone call with his Syrian counterpart, described the resurgence of terrorist groups in Syria as a US-Israeli plot and reaffirmed Iran's support for Syria in combating terrorism and maintaining regional security.

The Syrian Foreign Minister provided a report on the field situation in the northern region of the country following terrorist group attacks. He emphasized that the Syrian government and people are standing firmly against the terrorist assaults and will continue to thwart the terrorists and their supporters from achieving their nefarious goals, as they have done in the past.

Araghchi described the resurgence of terrorist groups in Syria as a scheme orchestrated by the United States and Israeli regime, following the Israeli regime's defeats by the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine. He emphasized Iran's continued support for the Syrian government, people, and army in their fight against terrorism and in safeguarding regional security and stability.
