IP - Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed the post-ceasefire situation in Lebanon with his Lebanese counterpart, Abdallah Bou Habib, during a phone call.

Iran Press/Iran news: In the discussion with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi hailed the agreement, crediting the success to the indomitable spirit of the people, the relentless efforts of Lebanon's resistance fighters, and the political wisdom of Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Parliament, along with the government. He reiterated Iran's unwavering support for Lebanon's government, people, army, and resistance.

Araghchi highlighted the history of non-compliance and bad faith by the Israeli regime regarding past agreements and understandings. He stressed the necessity for Lebanon to remain vigilant and exercise serious caution in this regard.

Araghchi, referring to recent developments in Syria and the resurgence of Takfiri terrorist groups, described these events as a US-Israeli plot to destabilize the region following the failures and defeats of the Israeli regime against the resistance. He emphasized the need for effective countermeasures against the scourge of terrorism.

Lebanon's Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the call, provided an update on the current situation in Lebanon following the ceasefire, and thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its ongoing solidarity and support.
