Iranian Foreign Minister says: Resistance is a school and a cause, and it will find its way even without Syria. We will continue to support the resistance.

Iran PressIran news: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in a television program on Sunday night regarding recent developments in the region: "In my opinion, everything was clear and we had conveyed the information we had to the Syrian government and army. There is a behind-the-scenes plan by the US and the Zionist regime to cause the axis of resistance to suffer one after another. This was an issue that we knew and has always existed."

Araghchi stated, "What surprised us was the Syrian army's inability to confront this movement and the rapid pace of its developments. At the Doha summit, everyone questioned the reasons behind the army's swift retreat and short-lived resistance, as these quick changes astonished all."

The Foreign Minister emphasized: When Mr. Larijani and I met with him, Mr. Assad expressed his surprise and complaints about the army, evidencing that even the Syrian government lacked a proper analysis of it. In my opinion, the Syrian army is trapped in a psychological field.

Attacks in Syria were against the Astana Process

Iran's top diplomat stated that the recent attacks undermined the Astana Process, which aimed to foster political dialogue and necessary reforms in Syria following the establishment of peace by Iran, Russia, and Turkey. Araghchi stressed that Mr. Assad's government has also shown limited flexibility and responsiveness in this regard.

Future of Resistance after Assad

The resistance won't cease without Syria. What is our communication line with Yemen? Is our connection to Gaza intact? Both Yemen and Gaza continue to resist. The resistance will persist because it is driven by a cause rather than traditional warfare. Although it faces limitations, the resistance has secured its weapons and will forge its path. No one should assume that this struggle will end with Syria's departure from the axis of resistance. If the Syrian army had resisted, even Aleppo would not have fallen.

Hezbollah has enough weapons for two years

The minister clarified: It is a fact that Hezbollah in Lebanon has enough weapons, equipment, and facilities to withstand for more than a year or two, and we cannot say that the developments in Syria will weaken it.

Gaza ceasefire in coming weeks

The situation regarding a ceasefire in Gaza is complex, with discussions suggesting it may be established before January 20, coinciding with Mr. Trump's arrival. While I haven't seen reliable reports, there is a possibility of a ceasefire in the coming weeks under certain conditions, said Araghchi.

We want the will of the Syrian people to prevail in Syria. However, I believe this will be a challenging process due to conflicting interests, Aragchi highlighted.
