Tehran (IP) - Referring to the signing of 15 memorandums of understanding between Iran and Iraq, Iran's foreign minister said: Martyr Raisi was supposed to go on this trip, but unfortunately it was not possible due to the helicopter crash.

Iran Press/Iran news: Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, stated before his departure to Iraq: that the visit of President Pezeshkian and the accompanying delegation is the first foreign trip of the new president.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated: I hope this trip will expand the strategic depth of the relations between the two countries and bring our cooperation with Iraq to a new stage.

Expressing his satisfaction with the extensive relations between the two countries in the political, economic, regional, and popular fields of Arbaeen, security, and environment, Araghchi said: Iran-Iraq relations have had many ups and downs throughout history, but thanks to God, currently, our borders are the borders of peace, and God willing, this trip will help to develop the relations between the two countries as much as possible. 204
