Iran Press/ Africa: Mu’az Ibrahim in an interview with Iran Press at a press conference held in Accra by the Shia community Ghana together with some leaders of the coalition of Muslim organizations expressed his fury over what is happening to the people of Palestine.
"There is no humanity in this world. There are so many double standards within the Western and the Arab world itself. The Arabs themselves have the double standards as the West has. They (Arabs) should come out, not for condemnation only, they should also boycott products that are coming from America and Israel. That is all. We have so many products of them (Israel and America) that are consumables in the Arab world. When we boycott them, is also a part of showing solidarity to our people who have been killed by this cruel Israeli government. So we should all come out together not as different sects, We should come together both the Shia and Sunni to condemn this barbaric act of the Israelis.”
“This is totally unacceptable, nowhere in this world and no treaty at all in this world that allows you to kill children and women, hospitals, and schools, there is no humanity at all, the West the UN the AU, and all the organizations should come out and speak against what is going on, it is very bad. This same is going on between Ukraine and Russia, the whole world came together and voiced it out so what is different in the Palestine issue, we are just showing our weakness. the whole world should come out and voice it out for this has been going on since 1967 and the number of Palestinians killed is more why should it be that? You occupy someone's land and he said NO I need my land to have my own independence, this shouldn't be a problem, they should give them their land, give them their freedom, and let all have peace in this world.
The Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana and Dean of the Arab diplomatic mission in Ghana Abdal Fatah Ahmed Khalil Al-Sattari who also graced the occasion narrated the history of the occupation and extortion of the Palestinian land.
“Since Israel came to our land it destroyed everything, they killed anyone, any Palestinian people waiting on the way to occupy Palestine including East Jerusalem our capital city the heart of all the Palestinian people and they occupied Bethlehem also and Bethlehem is a Palestinian city as all of you know, there is no Israelis family in Bethlehem its Palestinian city all the family in Bethlehem are Palestinians and according to the international law all lands occupied in 1967 including Bethlehem and East Jerusalem the capital city of the Palestinian people.”
Muslims in Ghana have pledged to continue their display of solidarity with the people of Palestine and show the world that Ghanaian Muslims stand with the oppressed, not the oppressor in the wake of Israeli ongoing attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip.
