Iranian president, Rouhani inaugurates provincial projects

President Rouhani has inaugurated rural infrastructure plans and projects in the provinces of Sistan and Balouchistan, Fars, West Azerbaijan, Kerman, and Lorestan by video conference.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, at a ceremony on Monday, honouring the achievements of the Government, opened rural infrastructure plans and projects in different provinces of Iran by a video conference link.

During the inauguration of infrastructure projects in Sistan and Balouchistan province, he said: "It is the honour of the government to provide gas for Sistan and Balouchistan province."

President added: "Development of Chabahar port was another great work done for Sistan and Baluchistan province, and the participation of the three countries of Iran, India, and Afghanistan is very important for the operation of Chabahar port", Iran Press reported.

 Rouhani also said during the inauguration of rural projects in Lorestan province: "This province is a great support of Iran's national power and has always defended Islamic Iran at sensitive junctures."

The president also described the Kerman province as a paradise for mines and said: "Good steps have been taken by the government to develop mining in the province."

 Rouhani added: "Connecting Orumiyeh to the national rail network is another important step of the Government for the West Azerbaijan province."

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the President also visited an exhibition of the achievements of the Ministries of Energy, Oil, Roads and Urban Development, Communications and Information Technology, Health and Medical Education in the field of rural infrastructure development over the past 6 years.
