Tehran (IP) - Iranian MPs have approved an agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for joint investments.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an open session of the Iranian parliament on Tuesday 14 May, the overwhelming majority of Iranian MPs voted in favour of a joint investment agreement between Iran and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, whereby both countries agree to make investments in the other.

Out of a total of 226 Iranian MPs present for the vote, 169 MPs voted in favour of the agreement, 27 voted against and five abstained from voting.

The agreement aims to encourage investments in both Iran and Luxembourg, with Iranian parliamentarians stressing the need to abide by articles 77 and 139 of Iran's constitution when the Iran-Luxembourg agreement is being implemented.
