An explosion set off by a suicide bomber ripped through a wedding party in Kabul, killing 63 people and wounding 182 others.

Iran Press/Asia: Interior Ministry spokesman, Nusrat Rahimi told the Associated Press the attacker set off explosives among people attending a wedding party on Saturday night.

"The death toll stood at 63, with at least 182 of the guests injured," he confirmed.

The blast occurred near the stage where bride and groom were and "all the youths, children and all the people who were there were killed," one witness said.

This is the second time in the past year that a hotel crowd in Kabul has been hit by a suicide attack.

Last summer, a group of Afghan Sunni Muslim scholars were killed in a blast at the Uranus Hotel in Kabul. 104/211/218
