Major General Hossein Salami officially introduced as new chief commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corpse (IRGC) on Wednesday.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a ceremony which was held Wednesday morning on April 24 in the IRGC Command Center, with attendance of many senior military commanders and state officials, Major General Salami officially introduced as new chief commander of the IRGC.

General Salami replaced Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari by a decree issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Ayatollah Khamenei also appoint Major General Jafari as the manager and director of the cultural and social institution of Hazrat Baghyatollah-ol-A'zam.
