Bandar Abbas (IP) - The supercarrier repair operation has been successfully completed in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Announcing that the 'Dore' tanker repair operation is carried out for the first time in Iran, Managing Director of Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Co (ISOICO) Hamidreza Rezaian Asl said that the repair process of "Dore" involved repairing the engine, plumbing, and the pump.

According to Rezaian Asl, until now, ships were sent to foreign countries for repairs, and now the repair of every tanker at home will save Iran $ 2 million, Iran Press reported.

The Iranian 'giant' tanker, Dore, is 333 meters long and capable to carry 320 thousand tons of oil products'.

Supertankers are the largest crude oil tankers employed in the global maritime industry, which include giant tanker trucks and high-tonnage tankers with a capacity of over 160,000 tons of weight. 104/211/208
