The Iranian Foreign Minister met with the Malaysia's Prime Minister on Thursday, discussing the bilateral ties and the latest regional and international developments.

Iran Press/Asia: The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had a meeting with Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur on the final leg of his trip to Asia.

Zarif tweeted about the meeting in which the two sides talked about bilateral ties and the latest regional and international developments.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that the focus of the discussions was on strengthening Islamic unity and expanding economic, social and political cooperation. 

Zarif also met with his Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah earlier in the day.

The Iranian foreign minister arrived in Malaysia on Wednesday night, after two successful visits to China and Japan, for meeting and conferring with senior officials of Malaysia.
