Kermanshah (IP) - The head of Kermanshah's Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the executive board of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, reported a surge in the country's exports despite currency fluctuations and uncertainties.  

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press in Kermanshah province, in western Iran, Keivan Kashefi emphasized that 60 percent of Iranian exports go to neighboring and regional countries.

He noted that last year Iran managed to beat its close rival Turkey in terms of exports to the Iraqi market, saying: "The value of Iran's trade exchanges and exports to Iraq has reached about $9 billion which is a considerable amount."

The member of the Iranian chamber of commerce board of executives said the value of Iran's exports to the Iraqi Kurdistan region is nearly $3 billion.

"Having long-standing trade ties to Iran, Iraq's Kurdistan region is considered the gateway for Iranian goods entering the lucrative Iraqi market," Kashefi asserted.  101/211/215
