Kremlin elaborates on reason of delying Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan summit

Kremlin spokesman has said the summit of the Russian, Iranian and Azerbaijani presidents was delayed due to the need to coordinate their schedules.

Iran Press/EuropeKremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the reporters on Tuesday that the meeting that was supposed to be held in Sochi on August 13, was postponed "due to the need to coordinate the schedules [of the presidents] more closely" and "look for an appropriate time to synchronize these schedules."

"We will announce the new date [of the summit] after these schedules are synchronized through diplomatic channels," Peskov added according to Taas.

Discussion about the development of joint co-operation between the three countries in various economic fields as well as regional communications is among the goals of the trilateral summit.
