Palestinians have participated in the 66th week of 'Great March of Return' protests in the Gaza Strip.

 Iran Press/Middle East: The 66th week of Great March of Return was held on Friday with the slogan 'We Defeat Plots with Our Unity'.

Israeli forces have opened fire on Palestinian protesters gathering near the fence between the besieged Gaza Strip and the Israeli-occupied territories, leaving dozens of people injured, Iran Press reported.

Zionist Military said more than 6,000 Palestinians demonstrated in several spots along the Gaza border on Friday.

According to Palestinian reports, at least 55 protesters were injured including one seriously wounded after being hit in the stomach by Israeli live bullets.

During the protest an Zionist Military Jeep was hit by a Molotov cocktail thrown by protesters. 

Also, according to WAFA news, a Palestinian child injured after he had shot in his head in the village of Kafr Qaddum, near Qalqilia city in the West Bank during the weekly anti-settlement protest. His condition was described as critical.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza over 300 Palestinians have been killed and about 17,000 others injured by Zionist regime forces since the beginning of the protests.

Demonstrators demand an end to Israel’s 12-year blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has shattered the coastal enclave’s economy and deprived its two million inhabitants of many basic amenities.

Gaza has been under Israeli siege since June 2007, which has caused a decline in living standards.

Israel has also launched three major wars against the enclave since 2008, killing thousands of Gazans each time and shattering the impoverished territory’s already poor infrastructure.
