Trump wants his team to tone more relaxed on Iran

US president has asked his advisers to tone down their tough talk on Iran.

Iran Press/ America: While Donald Trump administration has been talking in increasingly alarming terms about the Iranian threat for months, now, he has wanted his people to cool down the hot rhetoric.

According to a report by Daily Beast, Trump has privately pushed his representatives to walk back their tough talk on Iran, and reiterate that the administration is not aiming to go to war with Tehran.

This is while, a few days ago, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on CBS Face the nation that everything was on the table when it came to Iran, including military action, and National Security Adviser John Bolton has pushed internally for a confrontation with Tehran.

The report citing two senior officials and three other individuals with direct knowledge of the administration’s strategy in the region confirmed the report.

Recently in an interview with Time magazine, Trump said that he is less hawkish on Iran than some of his advisers.
