Iranian president arrived in Dushanbe, late on Friday to take part in the 5th Conference on Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Iran Press/AsiaHassan Rouhani travelled to Tajikistan at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon.

The CICA summit is a platform for enhancing cooperation toward promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.

The summit brings together high-level delegations to adopt an ambitious declaration covering all issues of cooperation within the CICA, according to Iran Press.

Iran, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, South Korea, China, Russia, India, Palestine, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan Republic, and Thailand are among the members of CICA, whose leaders have gathered on Saturday, June 15 in the capital of Tajikistan to discuss important affairs of Asia.

Before heading for Dushanbe, Iranian president visited Kyrgyzstan.

In the course of his two-day visit to Kyrgyzstan, Hassan Rouhani addressed the leaders of the SCO member states and voiced the points of view of the Islamic Republic of Iran on important regional and global issues.

He also had bilateral meetings with the presidents of China, Russia and Afghanistan, and discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as regional and global issues. 101/211
