US President, Donald Trump, in separate phone calls with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, discussed the situation with regards to Iran.

Iran Press/Europe: The French president’s office said on Saturday that two leaders discussed a number of issues including the situation around Iran and the Persian Gulf.

“The president also underlined that the G7 summit would be an important opportunity to move towards universal taxation of digital activities, which is in our common interest, and which we need to keep working on in order to obtain a broad international agreement,” Macron’s office said according to Reuters.

Also on Friday evening, British prime minister Boris Johnson and US President Donald Trump talked about recent tensions with Iran and the need for the two countries to work together on the issue, Downing Street said.

It was announced that the two leaders expressed commitment to delivering an ambitious free trade agreement, with formal talks to begin after Britain leaves the European Union. The two are due to meet at a G7 summit in Biarritz, France, in August. 101/211/218
