The Secretary and member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, Seyyed Saeed Reza Ameli, has stressed that those Iranian academics and researchers who want to conduct joint international research with other universities around the world should be supported financially.

Iran Press/Iran news: Seyyed Saeed Reza Ameli, secretary and member of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, in an interview with Iran Press news agency on Monday said: "This is the second meeting of the national road map of the academic activity according to the national document on international academic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and other countries in different parts of the world. There are 12 action plans recommended by that document and based on those 12 action plans, these are meant to facilitate and ease [academic] communications [and exchanges] between Iran and other countries around the world (the worldwide academic environment)."

The secretary and member of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution added: "And according to those action plans, financial support (promotion) should be awarded to those scholars in different universities around Iran, to make it easier for them to establish a relationship with other universities [around the world] in terms of educational activity and research activity. So we are trying to institutionalise this sort of idea according to those action plans and in this meeting we have decided that president and vice president for technology and academic issues should try to structure either institution or organisation for creating promotion and financial support for all scholars in  Iran who want to conduct joint international research in their particular academic field." 211/213
