In a meeting with the foreign minister of Malta, Iran's Foreign Minister stated that the military action of the Islamic Republic of Iran in response to the crimes of the Zionist regime took place within the framework of legitimate defense and under international law.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a meeting with Ian Borg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council, discussed the latest regional and international developments and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Iran's Foreign Minister also warned against any adventurism by the Zionist regime and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond more strongly to any miscalculations by the Israeli regime.

Amir-Abdollahian appreciated the constructive role and efforts of the government of Malta as the rotating president of the United Nations Security Council in stopping the Zionist crimes in Gaza.

Amir-Abdollhian emphasized that the main factor of stability and security in the region is stopping the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the West Bank as well as establishing a lasting ceasefire.

He also emphasized the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to promote relations in all political, economic and cultural fields, as well as the reciprocal visit of the officials of the two countries.

In this meeting, which was held at the United Nations in New York, Ian Borg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta, while emphasizing the dangers caused by the expansion of tensions in West Asia, stated: "Malta intends to de-escalate the tension in the region and will do its best in establishing peace and security in the region.

He further emphasized the importance of expanding his country's relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran at all political, economic and cultural levels.
