Iran Press/ Asia: After meeting Pakistani Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and attending a joint press conference with Jilani, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar ul-Haq Kakar in the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad.
In the meeting, the two officials discussed bilateral issues including expansion of economic ties and giving a boost to trade exchanges at the joint borders.
Before meeting Anwaar ul-Haq Kakar, Amir-Abdollahian and Pakistani Army Chief Syed Asim Munir discussed the latest developments in mutual ties including security and border cooperation.
The top Iranian diplomat and the Pakistani general reviewed the latest developments in the region, including the continued crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.
Amir-Abdollahian, who is leading a high-level political, military, and security delegation, left Tehran’s Meharabad airport late on Sunday where he was seen off by Pakistan’s new ambassador to Iran Muhammad Mudassir Tipu.
