Managua(IP)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran described the negotiations between the officials of Iran and Nicaragua as useful and constructive in order to expand and strengthen cooperation.

Iran PressAmerica: Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has established good relations with some countries in the Latin American region, such as Nicaragua, Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia, which have a long history of fighting imperialism and global arrogance led by the United States.

In recent years, the relations between Iran and the progressive countries of Latin America have always been on the rise and these relations have been expanding in political, economic, commercial, industrial, energy, medical and other fields.

Therefore, Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, left Tehran for Caracas on a three-day trip to Latin American countries, including Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, on Monday.

In this regard and according to Iran press news agency on Thursday; Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian met with the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister on the sidelines of President Raisi's visit to the three countries of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba on Thursday regarding the latest trend of bilateral developments and international dialogue issues and exchanged views.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while thanking the government of Nicaragua for hosting the high-ranking delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, described the talks between the officials of the two countries as useful and productive.

Denis Moncada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, while expressing his satisfaction with the presence of the high-ranking delegation of Iran in Managua, emphasized Iran's readiness to increase the level of contacts as well as to consolidate and diversify cooperation, especially in the economic fields.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Havana, the capital of Cuba, this morning (Thursday) and is on the 15th destination of his trip.

Amir- Abdollahian: Iran - Cuba; Pioneers of regional integration

Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi to Cuba, wrote in a tweet: "Iran and Cuba are pioneers in the development of regional integration, which can provide the opportunity for each other's presence in the coalitions formed on both sides of the globe.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also added: "The focus of cooperation is in the fields of biotechnology, technology, medicine, and energy."

According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, Cuba is the last destination of Dr. Raisi's regional trip to Latin America.

Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Havana on Thursday morning and was welcomed by Cuban officials upon arrival at Cuba's international airport.

On Monday morning, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the head of a political and economic delegation, in order to strengthen relations with friendly and equal countries, left for Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba in Latin America, Caracas being the first destination of the President's five-day trip.

Raisi on a two-day trip to this country, in addition to meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, high-ranking delegations, the speaker of the parliament, and a group of heads of the commissions of the national parliament of this country, visited the science and technology exhibition of Iranian achievements and the start of the production line of two automobile companies.  

He ended his programs in Venezuela by signing 26 cooperation documents and giving a speech to Venezuelan youth and elites.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the end of his visit to Venezuela, arrived in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, on Wednesday morning.

During his trip to Nicaragua, Raisi met with President Daniel Ortega, the Speaker and representatives of the National Assembly of this country, and attended the meeting with the students of the University of Managua.

The high-ranking officials of Iran and Nicaragua also signed 3 cooperation documents in the presence of the presidents of the two countries on Thursday morning.

Cuba is the end of the first part of the presidential visit to the Latin American region.
