Iran's Foreign Minister, on Wednesday night, in a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart, expressed his satisfaction with the growing trend of relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan have exchanged views on the phone over different issues including current developments in the South Caucasus region and ways to expand bilateral relations.

Iran's top diplomat emphasized that the implementation of the Aras River pollution control roadmap is  vital in order to preserve the health of this ecosystem.

Referring to the military exercise between Armenia and the United States, Amir-Abdollahian stated that any presence of foreign forces in the region leads to a more complicated situation in the region.

Iran's Foreign Minister reffering to the necessity of resolving the conflicts at their root level in order to achieve sustainable peace in the region, noted that the most effective way to achieve comprehensive peaceis  through regional dialogues and mechanisms, including the 3+3 mechanism.

The Armenian foreign minister evaluated the development of relations with Iran as constructive and significant.

Referring to the transfer of military forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia pointed out that any change of borders in the South Caucasus is unacceptable.

Referring to the talks between the environmental officials of the two countries, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the environmental health of the Aras River.

Mirzoyan, emphaszing boosting relation with Iran, also added that Armenian soil will definitely not be a place for anti-Iranian activities. 219
