Iran Press/ West Asia: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday evening at the ceremony commemorating the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Damascus:
"We are very pleased that the relations between Tehran and Damascus are progressing rapidly, and I would like to emphasize to you that today is the celebration of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. It is being held while we are witnessing the genocide of the people of Gaza by the Zionist regime."
Iran's foreign minister stated: "We congratulate the leaders of the Palestinian resistance because this resistance was able to register a new victory in Gaza during this time."
Amir-Abdollahian noted: " In the meetings I had with the leaders of the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance in Beirut, I found that they are in their best condition and undoubtedly, the victory of Gaza is very close and the end of Netanyahu and the Zionist criminals is closer."
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is in this country to meet the Syrian authorities, met with some officials of the Palestinian resistance groups on Sunday evening and discussed the developments in Gaza and the need to stop the crimes and genocide of the Zionist regime in the West Bank and Gaza.
Earlier, Amir-Abdollahian met and exchanged views with President Bashar al-Assad, and Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad.
Attending a joint press conference with the Syrian Foreign Minister and giving a speech at the celebration of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution were among other plans of Amir- Abdollahian in this trip.
