Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollhian, and Ger Peterson, the special representative of the UN Secretary-General for Syrian Affairs, met in Davos.

Iran PressEurope: In a meeting on the sidelines of the Davos Forum, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Geir Pedersen, the UN Secretary General's special representative for Syrian affairs discussed the latest developments in the Syrian political process.

Emphasizing the strong support of the Islamic Republic for stability and security in Syria, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs announced the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the political process in Syria and offered to help the success of Peterson's mission.

Pedersen, the special representative of the Secretary-General for Syrian affairs, also explained his view and assessment regarding the political, security, and economic conditions of Syria. He enumerated his ideas and suggestions to help solve the problems of Syria and appreciated the cooperation and support of the Islamic Republic of Iran in helping to advance its mission. 219
