The Pentagon acknowledged in a statement on Wednesday that the US military had not provided any training or advice to Iraqi forces in attacking ISIS in recent operations which led to achieving tangible victories.

Iran Press/America: The US Department of Defense in the statement confessed to the fact that Iraqi forces can now fight the remnants of the ISIS terrorist group alone and do not need help.

The statement said: "The ISIS terrorist group no longer controls large areas of Iraqi territory and Iraqi forces have achieved many victories against this group.'

The Pentagon statement comes as many Iraqi politicians have repeatedly said that the recent ISIS attacks in various parts of Iraq were a message from the United States, and Washington is seeking revenge for the Baghdad government's decision to expel its troops from Iraq.

The Iraqi Parliament recently convened to discuss the withdrawal of US troops from the country and voted to expel of all foreign troops from Iraqi soil. This move angered Washington and US officials asked Baghdad to reconsider the government's decision.

The Iraqi parliament approved the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq on January 5, 2020.

Millions of Iraqi people also demanded the expulsion of American troops on January 25 by staging Million-man demonstrations.
