Two autopsies carried out by official US forensic medicine asserts that the cause of George Floyd's death was as a result of mechanical asphyxiation.

Iran PressAmerica: George Floyd, the Minnesota man who died after an officer arresting him pressed his knee onto his neck, died by homicide, according to the results of two autopsies released on Monday one by the county medical examiner and the other by independent pathologists commissioned by Floyd's family. 

Floyd's death has led to widespread outrage, protests and unrest across the nation. The Minneapolis officer has been seen kneeling on Floyd's neck, Derek Chauvin, was charged last week with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.  

In recent days security at the White House has been reinforced by the National Guard and additional personnel from the Secret Service and the U.S. Park Police.

Since the beginning of the anti-racism protests in the United States, 1700 people have been arrested in 22 cities.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in various cities Sunday night for the fifth night to protest the killing of George Floyd by police and the deaths of other blacks in US police custody to protest violence.
