Ex-nuclear negotiator: COVID-19; big threat for Trump\'s re-election

Tehran (IP) - The former member of Iran’s nuclear-negotiating team called COVID-19 as the biggest threat for US President Donald Trump ‘s re-election.

Iran PressAmerica: The former member of Iran's nuclear-negotiating team and a researcher at Princeton University in the United States, Seyyed Hossein Mousaviyan referred to Trump’s weakness in managing COVID-19 disease in the United States, saying that Trump initially underestimated the disease and adopted the arrogant approach toward it and the disease soon spread all across the United States.

"The United States, which claims to be a  so-called world leader, has shown many weaknesses in Corona's management in various fields, including the economy and the health system," Mousavian added in an interview.

A former member of Iran's nuclear negotiating team also explained that the US stock market had plummeted due to the outbreak of the Corona adding: "Unemployment has reached an all-time high in the United States, and it has been unprecedented in the last hundred years."

Mousavian stressed that as Trump's weakness in managing Corona becomes apparent, opinion polls show that Joe Biden has a better chance of winning the US presidential election.

In the United States, about 793,000 people have developed COVID-19, of which more than 42,000 have died. 207
