Javier Perez de Cuellar Dies at 100

Former Secretary-General of the United nations died on Wednesday 4 March, according to the Peruvian Foreign Ministry.

Iran PressAmerica: United Nations said in a statement that Peruvian diplomat Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, who played an important role at the end of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war, died.

Former UN Secretary-General Javier Pérez de Cuéllar dies at age 100.

The Peruvian diplomat was the Secretary-General of the United Nations from January 1,  1982, to December 31, 1991.

Pérez de Cuéllar turned 100 on January 19 , 2020.

In 1988, he explicitly declared Iraq as the perpetrator of initiating the 8-year imposed war on Iran.
