Iran Press/ Iran news: Seyyed Majid Mirahmadi, Deputy for Security and Law Enforcement at Iran's Interior Ministry, regarding the terrorist attack on military and police headquarters in Chabahar and Rask cities, said: "The clashes in Rask and Chabahar cities have ended and 18 terrorists have been killed, which may increase to 19 as some of the bodies of the terrorists cannot be identified."
He stated: "The field commanders estimate that probably 19 terrorists were killed, and all operatives of this terrorist operation were killed and none of them survived."
Mirahamdi stated that "with the courage, bravery, and preparations of the security forces, none of the goals of the terrorist groups in Jask, Rask and Chabahar cities were achieved", he added that the terrorists' goal was to seize the IRGC headquarters in Rask and kill the security forces. They also wanted to capture the headquarters of the IRGC, the police station and the admiralty in Chabahar, but they did not succeed in any of them and as it was said, they failed and were killed.
Iran's Deputy Minister of Interior, regarding the prolongation of dealing with this terrorist incident, said: "The reason for the prolongation of the operation was that the terrorist elements, by taking hostages of innocent people and placing them as human shields, created problems for the security forces. The commanders of the IRGC and the law enforcement agents released all the hostages safely and conducted the anti-terrorist operation successfully.
Mirahamadi added that according to the initial reports of our commanders and intelligence agencies, the recent terrorist elements are not Iranian, and their nationality and identity are being investigated. He also stated that 2 supporting elements who had prepared the ground for the presence of the terrorist forces to carry out this operation in Chabahar city, were non-Iranian and arrested by the security and intelligence agencies.
The Jaish-al-Zulm (so-called Jaish-ul-Adl) tried to attack the IRGC base in Rsak and Chbaghar cities of Sistan and Baluchestan which fell behind it and failed. This terrorist attack led to the killing of 18 terrorists. Ten Iranian security forces were also martyred. 219
