After the match with Bulgaria, which ended in a 2-2 draw securing Serbia's spot in EURO 2024, Aleksandar Mitrović, the top scorer in the history of the Serbian national team, expressed his joy and satisfaction.

Iran PressEurope: "The most important thing is that we got the result for us, it's a beautiful day, and I think this is one of the best moments for me in the national team. This team has shown, despite a lot of questioning, what it's made of. We've proven that this is our third major competition," emphasized Mitrović. Echoing the sentiments of coach Dragan Stojković, Mitrović admitted that the match against Bulgaria was challenging.

"God willing, that's far away now, there are many matches ahead. Right now, there's a huge relief. These are the toughest matches, the ones that are supposedly won in advance, where the opponent has nothing to lose, and you have a lot at stake..."

"I remember a similar qualifying match for the World Cup against Georgia; it was also tough, but we won," concluded Mitrović, who celebrated the victory and qualification by enjoying a large pizza in the locker room.

Euro 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
