Iran Press/ Middle East: The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in a statement on Sunday condemned the repeated storming of al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli occupation forces and settlers.
The pan-Arab organization also condemned the escalation of Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people during the holy month of Ramadan.
"The occupation authorities continue the brutal attacks and field executions, and seek to change the facts on the ground and the legal and historical status quo of Jerusalem al Quds and the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque," the union said, warning against the consequences of the continuation of these provocative barbaric acts, "which may push the entire region to dangerous repercussions."
The union stressed the urgent need to implement international justice, protect Palestinian human rights, and the Palestinian people’s legitimate and legal right to live in security and dignity, calling on the international community, its parliaments, and active international organizations, to not remain silent about these daily crimes.
It also urged for providing protection for the Palestinian people and obligating the occupation authorities to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, revive peace negotiations, and adhere to the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative as the only way to put an end to this human tragedy.
The union expressed its firm position in support of the Palestinian people, stressing that the stability of the entire Arab region depends on the Palestinian people’s obtainment of their full inalienable rights, and the establishment of their independent and fully sovereign state with eastern Jerusalem al Quds as its capital.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also, expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attack on defenseless Palestinian worshippers.
The Sudanese ministry, in a statement, slammed this systematic escalation as a gross encroachment upon the sanctity of the al-Aqsa mosque and a violation of international resolutions and conventions.
It called on the international community to carry out its duty and hold the Israeli government fully responsible for the repercussions of the continuation of such crimes and violations against the defenseless Palestinian people, their land, and holy sites.
It called on the Israeli government to immediately stop the violations and its continuous attempt to Judaize Jerusalem al Quds by imposing a fait accompli on the ground.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its firm stance in support of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem al Quds as its capital in accordance with the two-state solution and United Nations resolutions.
