The first Africa Climate Summit opens in Nairobi on Monday, with leaders from across the continent to focus on the climate crisis and its complex interplay with agrifood systems.

Iran PressAfrica: The first Africa Climate Change Summit has started in Nairobi and is expected to run through to Friday, September 8, 2023.

The event is hosted by President William Ruto, who is also expected to officially open it for business, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

The day will officially begin at 9 a.m. and the President is expected to engage in a series of activities, including holding bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the climate summit.

Some of these leaders will include heads of state, vice presidents, leaders of international organizations and other delegations.
