At least 14 killed in a church attack in Burkina Faso

At Least 14 people have been killed in an attack on a Protestant church in eastern Burkina Faso on Sunday morning.

Iran PressAfrica: The president of the West African nation of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kabore in a Twitter post condemned "the barbaric attack" in the town of Hantoukoura.

According to Kabore, several people also were wounded in this attack.

The president of Burkina Faso offered his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.

Extremists who have been active in Burkina Faso since 2015, have attacked police stations and churches across the country’s north, but also recently have struck in the east.

In October, gunmen attacked a convoy carrying employees of a mining company in that region, killing at least 37 people.   207/211
