Iran Press/ Iran news: On Sunday, he met with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the representative of Iran's Supreme Leader and the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
During the meeting, Ahmadian emphasized cooperation in various fields such as commerce, industry, transportation, and agriculture, securing Iran's water rights, and increasing collaboration in the water sector based on the interests of both countries.
Mullah Abdul Ghani highlighted the need for economic and commercial cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran, particularly in activating the transit area and Chabahar port, as well as enhancing collaboration in air transportation. He also expressed Afghanistan's commitment to implementing treaties between the two nations, especially in the water sector.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar emphasized Afghanistan's determination to combat terrorism and reassured about border security, stating that Afghanistan poses no threat to its neighbors.
Earlier on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also met with the Taliban delegation. The delegation arrived in Tehran on Saturday to discuss expanding economic relations between Kabul and Tehran.
The discussions included bilateral trade relations, transit and transportation infrastructure, railways, regional connectivity, increasing trade through Chabahar port, and developing economic cooperation between both countries.
