Iran Press/ Iran News: At a ceremony held on Sunday to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, Mohammad Eslami said that the enemies of Iran implement their plots against Iran through heavy media and political operations.
Mohammad Eslami said: "Through disabling measures such as the imposition of sanctions and deauthorization, the enemy pushes the country to the point of submission by showing off its power mingled with the combination of the first two components, and implements its operation."
One of manifestation the heavy operation of the enemies against Iran was the US' assassination of an international figure in the fight against terrorism Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Second-in-Command Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by the former US President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
General Soleimani and his companions were highly popular because of their key role in eliminating the US-backed ISIS terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
General Soleimani was assassinated by the US while he was in Baghdad at the official invitation of the Iraqi government.
