Hormozgan (IP): The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami said that the Sirik nuclear power plant is expected to be put into operation in 18 years.

Iran PressIran news: Sirik nuclear power plant has been planned to have four 1250-MW reactors, Eslami said on Sunday.

The first phase of the construction of the power plant is underway, he added.

By the decree of President Raisi, the necessary studies regarding the project have been carried out, the official stated.

Designed to have an electricity generation capacity of 5,000 megawatts, the power plant is part of broader plans to develop the Makran coastal region, Eslami has earlier said.
