Iran Press/ Iran news: The Spokeswoman of the Iranian Administration Fateme Mohajerani held her first press conference on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, After President Pezeshkian took his first trip on Sunday to New York to participate in the 79th meeting of the UN General Assembly.
Fatemeh Mohajerani said in response to IranPress reporter's question about the administration's plan for more use of nuclear electricity that the administration is tasked to pursue the country's 7th plan of development as a law.
"It is the duty of the administration to implement the law, and it will take steps in this direction; therefore, using all capacities, including the knowledge-based companies, it will try to increase the nuclear capacity from 1,000 MW to 3,000 MW."
She said that the 14th administration of Iran has a plan to diversify the country's energy portfolio so that the country can benefit more from clean energies.
The 7th plan of development is a 5-year development plan that is supposed to be implemented from March 20, 2024, until March 20, 2030. The plan includes 22 chapters and 7 sections including economic, infrastructure, cultural and social, scientific, technological and educational, foreign policy, defense and security, administrative, and legal and judicial areas.
