Iran Press/Iran News: Mohsen Baharvand added: "The judge will soon issue an indictment for all those involved in the assassination, based on undeniable evidence, and Iran will not stop trying to bring these people to justice."
The official stated, "In addition to those involved in this crime, and because this crime was an act against our sovereignty and national security, the US government and several countries whose territory has been used to commit this crime have an international responsibility, and they must be held accountable for their actions against international law, and we will pursue this in international bodies."
The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials, was assassinated by the US drone attack in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as well as eight companions.
