IP - 'The Israeli army does not provide public records of casualties among its ranks', the Israeli Walla news website reported, to avoid morale decline in the army and Israeli society.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The 4,000 soldiers have been recognized as having disabilities according to “Classification 3” files, which means that they are entitled to all the treatments and rights granted to disabled persons in the Israeli army.

According to the Israeli website, the number is likely to rise to 30,000.

Meanwhile, on Saturday the armed wing of Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, said its fighters detonated an anti-personnel device against an Israeli force east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing and wounding of four soldiers.

The Brigades added that it bombed a gathering of Israeli military vehicles with heavy-caliber mortar shells and that it was able to target a helicopter east of the city with a surface-to-air missile.

An Israeli bulldozer and two Israeli Merkava tanks were also hit with explosive devices, the armed group said.

Heavy fighting is underway in central and southern Gaza

the Israeli army has confirmed that its soldiers are engaged in intense combat with Palestinian fighters in the central and southern parts of Gaza.

This comes as Israel’s bombing campaign continues across the besieged enclave.

According to Gaza Health Ministry at least 135 Palestinians, including a two-year-old girl, have been killed in Israeli army attacks in the past 24 hours.

Palestinian Health Ministry reported in its latest update on the 99th day of the war that one in 20 Palestinians in Gaza are dead, wounded, or missing. 

Israeli forces committed 12 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, killing 135 people and injuring 312 in the last 24 hours, the report added.

Several victims are still under the rubble and on the roads that ambulance and rescue officials cannot reach.

At least 23,843 people have been killed and 60,317 wounded in Gaza by Israeli attacks since October 7.
