IP - In multiple terrorist attacks, 38 people were killed and many others injured including police and security personnel, and people, in Balochistan’s Kalat, Musakhel, and Bolan districts when armed terrorists blocked the inter-provincial highway and attacked the buses' passengers and other vehicles on Sunday night and Monday morning.

Iran Press/Asia: 8 People, Balochistan Levies personnel, were martyred in different incidents in Kalat district on Sunday night, according to police.

According to the Kalat Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dostin Dashti, the martyred included a police sub-inspector, four Levies personnel, and 3 citizens.

“An exchange of fire between police and armed men continued since last night on Kalat’s national highway and city,” the police said.

According to Ayub Achakzai, the Superintendent of Police of Musa Khel, the armed men alighted the passengers from the trucks and buses and after identifying them, shot them dead.

The armed men also set fire to 10 vehicles before escaping, while the main railway line connecting Balochistan with other provinces was also destroyed.

Police and Levies forces reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to the hospital.

All the killed passengers belong to Punjab province.

In another incident, Kalat Assistant Commissioner Aftab Ahmed and a Levies man have also been injured in the firing.

According to SSP Kalat, the incident occurred when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the checkpost, leading to an exchange of gunfire between the attackers and Levies personnel.

The injured officers have been taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the worst incident of terrorism and expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of those who died in the cowardly act of terrorists.

He said that near Musa Khel, the terrorists showed cruelty by targeting innocent people, brutality and cruelty were done to the extreme, and terrorists and facilitators will not escape from the terrible end.

Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti also strongly condemned the worst incident of terrorism near Musa Khel.

He expressed deep sorrow and regret over the murder of 23 people and expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of those who died in the cowardly act of terrorists.

In another terrorist attack, 6 people were killed in the Bolan area of Balochistan.

The terrorists murdered the victims by checking their identity cards.

According to the authorities, the process of identifying the victims has not been completed yet.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces and law enforcement agencies are responding effectively to these attacks, so far 12 terrorists have been eliminated many are injured.
