Iran Press/Iran news: At the end of the 21st Book and Media Festival, the winners in three areas of "press and news agencies", "visual and audio media" and "social media" were announced, and the three special awards of the festival were also rewarded.
The First Book and Media Festival was launched in November 2013, at the same time as the book week of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held. This festival was formed to expand the book-reading culture by encouraging the participation of the media in the field of books.
From the first edition, this festival introduced the winners in the written media sections (press, news agencies, and news websites) with the topics of conversation, news, reports, notes, and the audio media section. Meanwhile, in the following year humor, caricature, animation, photo, graphic, and material sections were added. Advertising, specialized reviews, and specialized book pages were also later added to the festival.
In 2018, the permanent secretariat of the Book and Media Festival was established and its regulations were also compiled.
The festival faced a one-year break due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Therefore, in the 20th period, the works that were published in the last two years were accepted and assessed. 219
