Russian voters in the far east, including Kamchatka and Chukotka, cast their votes for Russia's 2024 presidential election at 8 am local time on Friday.

Iran PressEurope: Russia has established more than 90,000 polling stations from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time from March 15 to 17.

It is the first time that the presidential polls in Russia will be conducted over three days. 

Incumbent President Vladimir Putin is largely expected to win and secure a fifth term as leader.

The New People's Party has nominated Vladislav Davankov, with Putin being a self-designated candidate. Leonid Slutsky of the LDPR party and Nikolay Kharitonov are also in the fray from the Communist Party of Russia, according to TASS. 219
