Tehran (IP)- Two days of expert meetings of the 17th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission began in Tehran on Monday and working groups will draft several cooperation agreements to be signed by the co-chairmen of the commission.

Iran PressIran news: The National Iranian Oil Company's Kushk Hall Center is hosting the meetings, where working groups consisting of experts from both countries will discuss bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

The topics of the experts' meetings and mutual issues of interest include various fields of industries related to oil and energy, banking and customs, transportation, housing, agriculture, ICT, mining, water, youth, sports, tourism, free zones, trades, arts, culture, and media.

During the initial two days of the 17th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission meeting, the working groups will draft several cooperation agreements to be signed by the co-chairmen of the commission - Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

The 16th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission meeting took place in Russia from October 29 to November 1, 2022.

The inaugural edition of the commission dates back to November 1996, five years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
