The head of Rescue and Relief Organization has said 17 provinces have been hit by floods, snow and blizzards in the past 24 hours in Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: "We have provided help and services for more than three thousand people in 17 provinces in Iran," the head of Rescue and Relief Organization Morteza Salimi said.

These provinces have been affected by blizzard conditions during the past 24 hours, he noted.

According to an Iran Press report, Salimi added: "We have given emergency housing to one thousand and two hundred people in different cities, villages and mountainous regions."

"Three hundred cars have been stuck in heavy snow and blizzard conditions said the head of Rescue and Relief Organization, adding: "Blankets, canned food and mineral water have been provided to the affected people." 101/211/201
