Iran Press/Asia: In the Tank District, Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation targeting a reported insurgent presence. During the operation, Pakistani troops effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of seven insurgents.
In another intelligence-based operation in the general area of Datta Khel, North Waziristan District, security forces engaged in a firefight, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists.
In a third encounter in the general area of Mamad Gat, Mohmand District, an intense firefight resulted in the elimination of two terrorists.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the insurgents who were killed. These insurgents had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against both security forces and innocent civilians. Sanitization operations are currently underway to eliminate any remaining insurgents in the area.
