Tehran(IP)- The President of the University of Tehran announced the university's readiness to establish a branch in Armenia.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Moghimi, the President of the University of Tehran, during his meeting with Arsen Avakian, Ambassador of Armenia to Iran, announced his readiness to open a branch of the University of Tehran in Armenia and said: If necessary, joint scientific activities will be pursued in Armenia.

Stating that science diplomacy can guarantee sustainable national security of countries, the President added: The development of scientific relations can promote scientific diplomacy between nations.

The Ambassador of Armenia, for his part, also demanded the exchange of professors and students between Iran and Armenia, signing an agreement to support the launch of a course in Armenian language, literature, and culture at the University of Tehran.

The diplomat also called for using the achievements of Iranian knowledge-based companies, especially in nanotechnology.
