Pakistan (IP) - Following a terrorist attack on a healthcare center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state, Pakistan, 7 were killed including women and children, Pakistani Army announced.

Terrorists attacked a rural healthcare center in the suburbs of Deir-e Ismail City of the state on Tuesday and opened fire on the people and the staff of the center. 

In the wake of the attack, 5 civilians, including 2 women and one child, were killed; 2 security forces also were killed as they stepped in and killed all three terrorists. 

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the fourth-largest province of Pakistan by land area and the third-largest province by population. Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan and its affiliated forces commit terrorist attacks in the province, especially in regions near the borders with Afghanistan.
