Tehran (IP) - In a message following the martyrdom of Yahya al-Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas resistance movement, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stressed that despite the loss of its key leaders, Hamas "is alive and will remain alive."

Iran Press/Iran news: In a message to Muslim nations and the courageous youth of the region, Ayatollah Khamenei paid tribute to the heroic mujahid, Commander Yahya al-Sinwar, who was recently martyred.

He emphasized that the resistance movement, as it had persevered through the martyrdom of its previous leaders, will continue its struggle without pause after al-Sinwar’s martyrdom, with the same unyielding resolve.

Text of the Supreme Leader’s Message:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

To the Muslim nations! To the courageous youth of the region!

The heroic mujahid, Commander Yahya al-Sinwar, has joined his martyred comrades.

He was a shining figure of resistance and jihad, standing with unbreakable determination against the oppressive and aggressive enemy. With wisdom and courage, he dealt significant blows to the occupier. His legacy includes the irreparable blow on October 7th, which has left an indelible mark on the history of this region. He then ascended to the ranks of the martyrs with dignity and honor.

For someone like him, who spent a lifetime resisting the tyrannical and usurping enemy, martyrdom was the only fitting end. Though his loss is painful for the resistance front, this movement has never stopped advancing, even after the martyrdom of figures like Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Fathi Shaqaqi, Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi, and Ismail Haniyeh. By God’s will, the resistance will not falter with al-Sinwar’s martyrdom either. Hamas is alive and will remain alive.

As always, we will stand alongside the sincere fighters and resistance forces, with God's help and guidance.

I offer my congratulations on the martyrdom of our brother Yahya al-Sinwar to his family, his comrades, and to all those devoted to the cause of jihad in the path of God. I also express my condolences for his great loss.
