Iran Press/ West Asia: Grand Ayatollah Sistani's office in Najaf, in a statement on Monday, announced: "The brutal methods of the Israeli regime, including the explosion of a large number of personal communication devices and targeting houses full of people, even women and children, and massive attacks on dozens of villages and cities in the south of the country, have put the noble nation of Lebanon exposed to brutal attacks in these difficult circumstances.
Ayatollah Sistani's office further adds that these attacks have resulted in the martyrdom and wounding of a large number of heroic resistance forces and other innocent civilians and the migration of tens of thousands of residents from their homes. "The supreme religious authority expresses its solidarity with the Lebanese loved ones and sympathizes with them in this great suffering," the statement added.
Grand Ayatollah Sistani called for mercy and comfort for the martyrs and speedy recovery for the injured.
While asking for every possible effort to stop the barbaric attacks and protect the Lebanese nation from the devastating effects of these attacks, the Supreme Shia authority called on the believers to reduce the suffering of the Lebanese nation and provide for their humanitarian needs.
According to the Israeli regime military, until 12:30 local time the Israeli Air Force had struck more than 300 targets in southern Lebanon, and dozens of fighter jets from all squadrons participated in the strikes.
According to the Lebanon Health Ministry, more than 274 people were martyred and more than 1024 were injured in Israeli Attacks on Southern Lebanon on Monday.
