Iran Press/Middle East: President Hassan Rouhani and accompanying delegation visited Najaf to pray at the holy shrine of Imam Ali Ebne Abi Taleb (peace be upon him), the cousin, son-in-law, and vicegerent to the Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny).
The president also visited the courtyard of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) to get acquainted with the activities of the Atabat Higher Reconstruction Team, Iran Press reported.
Rouhani was scheduled to meet with one of Iraq's most senior religious authorities, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali al-Sistani. 101/211/213
